Q: I have a question on a wall fitting ( item 30-5843SBPL ) .
The jets for my spa are made by Hydro Air Industries. I cannot find a model
number anywhere on the jet. It looks like the assembly in the diagram for
the A F Mark II jet assembly.
The wall hole is 2 5/8” &
the piping is 1 ½” air & 1 ½” water. I attached a picture of the jet hoping
it will help. I need 3 wall fittings only. I believe that item 30-5843SBPL is
what I need , but I’m
not positive. Is there any other way of knowing before I
order? Thanks
A: There are three older adjustable jets that are easy to confuse
with each other. The best way to tell them apart is via the snap clip that holds
them together. Take a look a the three links below.
The AF Mark has a "half-moon clip" near the end of the jet,
part 5 in the picture at the link below:
The Hayward has a rectangular clip in the middle of the ball,
you can at the end of it in the ball on part 2:
The Jacuzzi has a circular ring set in the threads. You cannot
see the Jacuzzi clip until you thread the jet internal center all the way in.
After you thread it all the way in, you can see it right behind the eyeball in a
groove at the end of the thread.
If you cannot tell them apart send me a picture of the
internal disassembled and I should be able to help.
